Grove Village Social Housing

The project comprised the design, build, finance and operation of an urban housing estate located on the outskirts of central Manchester. The project includes over 1089 dwellings; and the programme included the demolishing of 426 homes and the refurbishment of 663 homes. The project also encompassed the construction of 658 new build properties (for private sale) and a commercial centre, commissioned through a Development Works Agreement.

The project achieved Financial Close in September 2003 and Practical Completion three years later in September 2007. The Principal Contractor was Gleeson Construction Service Limited, the FM Contractor is Morgan Sindall Property Services Limited, and the Housing Management contractor is Your Housing Limited.

This project was the second of a trio of Manchester–based social housing projects to fall under the management of EMS, with services to Grove Village commencing in October 2021.
