Essex Schools BSF

The Essex Schools PFI project comprises of 3 Schools built as part of the  Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

Castle View School and Cornelius Vermuyden School are secondary schools located on Canvey Island, Essex.

Columbus School and College is a special education needs school which caters for students from the ages of 3 to 19 across two sites, located on either side of Partridge Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex.

The Design and Build contractor is Skanska Construction and the Facilities Management contractor is Skanska Facilities Services.

The Schools have excellent facilities such as multi-use games areas, soft play room, and hydrotherapy swimming pools which the community also benefit from their use.

EMS took over the MSA in June 2020 and continues to work closely with the service provider to ensure service delivery is of high quality, and the facilities remain in good condition for the local community.
