2 Counties Police Investigation Centres
The 6 Police Investigation Centres were completed in November 2011. The £65m project was built by Kier Eastern and the Hard FM sub-contractor is Tascor Services Ltd. The PICs were built for the Police & Crime Commissioners of Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies. The facilities hold all of the detention cells for the two Police Forces and allow detaining officers to hand over offenders and return to operational duty whilst specialist custody staff process the detainees. The buildings contain offices for CID staff as well.
Equitix procured the concession in 2015 and EMS assumed the MSA at the same time. The project runs smoothly and all stakeholder relationships are excellent. As the End of Defect Liability Period approaches the SPV has commissioned specialist reports and issued a number of latent defect notices.
