Dalbeattie Learning Campus

Completed in October 2017, Dalbeattie Learning Campus provides a community building comprising a nursery, primary school and secondary school and is also utilised by the community out of school hours.  This project was delivered on time and on budget for Dumfries & Galloway Council with a capex of £24m and capacity for over 780 pupils.

The campus features multiple learning bases and open plan design providing welcoming, flexible and functional spaces for learners.  The campus also features a dance studio, sports halls, fitness suite, automotive workshop, hospitality suite and rural skills facilities.

EMS managed all aspects of construction delivery on behalf of DBFM Co since financial close and continues to deliver operational management services. EMS led a very successful “Countdown to Handover” structured process (6 months) of presentation, training and hands on practical demonstration and close liaison with the school staff/end users. This ensured a smooth transition into operational phase with excellent working relationships established.

In 2018 the campus won a Gold Partnership Award for Best Social Infrastructure Project.
