EMS has been appointed to provide construction, finance and operational MSA Services for Kingston University Student Accommodation. This project is for the refurbishment and remodelling of student accommodation at the existing University halls of residence located at Kingston Hill and Seething Wells. The client wants to extend the variety of room types available to meet diverse student needs and affordability whilst able to provide enhanced communal spaces. Existing student accommodation will be refurbished, and a new management suite will be provided on the Kingston Hill site.
At Seething Wells, the listed buildings will be refurbished to provide a café and meeting point, with extra recreational spaces, rooftop extensions to existing buildings will provide an additional 158 student rooms. Extensions to various blocks will offer new kitchen common rooms. Once construction is complete in September 2022, there will be 1,331 student rooms.
